Sometimes, standard studio modifiers just don't fit the creative brief. We've introduced the Adjustable Area Light — a completely borderless, continuous light source. Think of it as the ultimate pre-vis proxy for your custom, real-world setups.

- Custom Window & Architectural Proxy: Need to know exactly how daylight from a 2×1 meter window will fall on your subject? Dial in the exact Width and Height, set your Color Temperature to 6500K, and map out your natural light coverage before you even arrive on location.
- Save Custom Lights: Navigate to the App Manager and click New Light to build, name, and save a personalized lighting setup directly to your library.
- Detailed Customization: After choosing the Area Light template (and setting your dimensions), define its exact output behavior using the IES, Spot, or Builtin tabs. Depending on your selection, you can fine-tune specific parameters, including overall Brightness, beam Angle, edge Falloff, and built-in diffusion profiles.
Instead of being limited by fixed-size hardware, this tool lets you map out the footprint of your light with surgical precision.

Step 03: Hair Quick Tip: The "Parting Flip"
Ever set up the perfect lighting, only to realize your avatar's hair parting is blocking your key light? Instead of flipping your entire lighting setup, use this workflow trick to mirror the hair while keeping your pose and lights exactly where they are.
- Mirror the Avatar: Select your model and use the Mirror Avatar function. Your avatar will now face the opposite direction, and the pose will be flipped. Don't panic if your framing or focus looks completely broken after this first action — just hold your nerve and move straight to the next step.
- Reset the Pose: Head into Posing Mode. Use the Mirror Pose button to flip the pose back to its original orientation.
- Result: Your avatar is back to its original position, your lighting is perfectly preserved, but the hairstyle parting is now mirrored to the other side.
