Update to version 2.5.9f – Now available!

We are excited to announce the release of the new version 2.5.9f. This update introduces exciting new features and improvements that will delight both professional users and creative enthusiasts alike.

The V2.5.9f update at a glance

• NEW: Aputure LS 1200D PRO with 7 integrated light modifiers
• NEW: Post effects for the camera with the option to import custom LUT files
  • Adjustment of contrast, color saturation, vignette, film grain, and color lookup tables
  • Selection of pre-made color lookup tables (LUTs) and the ability to import your own LUTs in .cube format
• Minor bug fixes and improvements

The update has a size of 186 MB for Windows and 300 MB for macOS.

NEW: Aputure LS 1200D PRO with 7 light shapers

You can now also use the popular Aputure LS 1200D PRO LED light for your setups. We have equipped it with a 20 cm reflector, Fresnel 2X, Light Dome II ⌀ 89 cm, Light Box 60×90 cm and 30×120 cm, Lantern and the Light Dome Mini II ⌀ 55 cm!

NEW: Post effects for the camera and rendering incl. LUT import

You can now activate post effects directly in the camera and give your image a completely unique look. There are also many integrated LUTs to choose from, which you can use to give your image the look of an old analog camera with Kodak film, for example.

But it gets even better: you can even import and use your own LUTs in .CUBE format. This means that the setup of a film scene can now be planned directly in the later style of the film in set.a.light 3D.

Highlights:

• Adjustment of contrast, color saturation and vignette: Optimize the look of your shots directly in set.a.light 3D.
• Film grain: For an authentic analog look.
• Color-Lookup-Tables (LUTs):
  • Use a selection of prefabricated LUTs to test different color looks.
  • Import your own LUT files in .cube format to integrate individual looks into set.a.light 3D.

How to get the update

This update is FREE for all V2.0–2.5.9 users (only the add-on is available for a fee). To get it, all you have to do is start your set.a.light 3D. The update option will be displayed immediately; just select it. (set.a.light 3D requires an internet connection). 

Alternatively you can also reinstall after downloading the latest version here.
(During the reinstallation, all personal settings, etc. are preserved.)
